Useful information

Children need access to water throughout the day.  Please can they bring a labelled water bottle filled with water only - no squash!

During the morning session, children have a healthy snack break. Snack can include fruit, raw vegetables, yoghurt, cheese or crackers. Please note - the local authority have banned grapes for health and safety reasons - grapes must not be sent to school.

Please check your child's bags for letters or notes home!

P.E. is on Thursday. Please make sure your child brings shorts and a T shirt on a Thursday.  We encorage independence by asking children to try to change without help - so please practise this at home!

We will listen to your child read a minimum of once a week.   Please send your child's reading bag to school everyday. To support us in improving your child's reading and understanding of the text,  please listen to your child read at least once a week at home and discuss what has been read. (See the documents below for the types of questions to ask).  Be sure to sign your child's reading log.  Only then can we change your child's book.

Twynyrodyn have introduced special owl keyrings to the children.  The keyrings have letter sounds or words that your children need to learn to read.  Once they can read the sounds and words on their keyring, send them back to school and your child will get a reward! We will then add the next three sounds or words.

Outdoor learning is an everyday occurrence in Foundation Phase. Your child will need to wear suitable, weather appropriate clothing everyday.
