Croeso I Dosbarth Porffor

Miss Baber welcomes you to Dosbarth Porffor's class page.

Useful Information

Mornings

My classroom door opens at 8:50 am every morning and school begins at 8:55 am. If children arrive after 8:55 am, they will need to come in through the school office and will be marked in as late.

Uniform

All children should be dressed in school uniform every day. Children need to bring their reading book, reading record and any other resources that they may need.

Healthy Schools

Children need to bring a healthy snack for break times and a refillable bottle of water.

Mobile Phones

Mobile Phones are not allowed in school. In some circumstances, your child may require a phone in school to walk home, at the end of the school day. If this is the case, it must be given to the class teacher during registration and collected at the end of the school day.

Homework

Homework will be given out every Friday and will need to be given in by the following Thursday. Homework must be completed in homework books.

Each week, the children in my class need to:

* Read their home reading book at least three times per week

* Complete a Maths activity/My Maths/Prodigy (online)

* Learn their spellings ready for a spelling test on Thursday

Medication

If your child requires medication, a parental/guardian signature is required for administration.

Photo Consent

Photo's and videos are a very important way of monitoring, assessing and sharing the successes of children in Twynyrodyn Community School. In order for your child to appear on the schools social media platforms and/or on displays etc, a parent/guardian is required to sign a consent form. See the class teacher for any queries/ further information.

For any other questions or queries, please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to a wonderful year ahead, teaching your child/children! :)
