We have been having lots of fun learning about Easter; making lots of Easter craft and taking part in Egg and Spoon races! Take a look...
The Aliens Have Landed!
The aliens have landed in Dosbarth Oren to join us on our Big Writing adventure!
Zag, an alien from planet Zog has been teaching us all about recycling and using junk modelling to build new space rockets.
We have been busy creating recycling posters for our new sort it centre and dressing up as aliens and astronauts!

The Circus is here!
All of the children in the Foundation Phase have been busy learning different circus tricks with 'Organised Kaos'.
The children enjoyed the week so much and have learnt how to twirl ribbons, juggle, walk on a tight wire and many other daring tasks.

This week our children made an amazing discovery on the other side of our classroom - Rainforest Readers! Our rainforest explorers have been working hard to read tricky and high frequency words as well as interesting books and stories. Keep up the good work Dosbarth Oren!
This term our new topic is 'Carnival.' We will be looking at Carnivals across the world, particularly the Rio de Janeiro Carnival and the National Eisteddfod in Wales. We will be answering the following questions during our learning journey; What are carnivals? What happens at carnivals? What do people wear? Why are they held?
In PE, we will be learning a traditional Samba routine and a Folk Dance - which will be a new and fun experience for us all.
We will be aiming to hold our own Carnival for parents and guardians towards the end of the Spring Term, so that we can show you everything we have learnt. Details will be released closer to the time.

In Dosbarth Oren we have a new role play area - Antarctica! This links to our Big Writing Adventures in Literacy.
The children have really enjoyed finding out facts about Antarctica and pretending to be Arctic explorers, searching for penguins and killer whales! Brrr
