Welcome to Dosbarth Gwyn
Homework is sent out once a week on Thursday and should be returned by Tuesday morning. There will one piece of literacy and one piece of maths per week. Please complete the work in your learning log. Your child will also be provided with a weekly piece of homework to complete on the MyMaths website (children have been given individual usernames and passwords) to support their class work.
So that children can have access to water throughout the day please send in a water bottle filled withwater only.
During morning play the children are allowed a healthy snack which can either be a piece of fruit or raw vegetables.
Please check your child's bag for letters or notes home.
P.E. is on Friday. Please make sure you wear suitable clothing, including trainers, to school on this day.
We will listen to your child read once a week (usually Friday). Please bring your reading book to school everyday. Please support us in improving your child's reading and understanding of the text by listening to your child read at least once a week at home, then discussing what has been read.
Practise your skills with these activities in English, Maths and Science.
This is an excellent resource with a variety of activities. The children can play a game linked to a curriculum area and it can also help with homework.

Children will learn:

- The functions of muscles in the body
- The effects of a healthy/unhealthy diet on the body
