We are a growth mindset class, not a fixed mindset class;
Blood, Bones and Gory Bits!
This half term (Spring 2018) our topic is 'Blood, Bones and Gory Bits'.
We will be learning all about our bodies-inside and out, naming body parts,bones and organs aswell as learning about the function of some of our very important organs e.g the heart, lungs. We will look at ways to keep healthy and all about our 5 senses.
There will be a school trip linked to our topic next half term- more details to follow in January.
In literacy we will be doing a lot of work around the text 'Frankenstein' and the film 'Frankenweenie'.

23rd September - The disability sports coordinator for Merthyr visited our school to do a special PE session with our class. We played sitting down volleyball, blind goal ball and wheelchair basketball. We had such fun!

20th September- Mrs Power took us to a disability sports event at Merthyr Leisure centre. We met some very special people who had won medals at the special olympics sporting events over the years. We had such a wondeful time. We did gymnastics, played badminton, tennis and boccia. We also learnt some Judo moves!!
