(Croeso i Flwyddyn Chwech gyda Miss Baber!)
Online homework will be set for completion once per week to coincide with the topic your child is covering in maths that week. Other useful sites to support your child's understanding of maths include J2Blast (google apps), bbc bitesize, Hit the Button and Top Marks etc.
Each child has been given an individual pupil passport with their username and passwords on, to log on to these sites. If you have any issues with logging in then please contact me to reset/ and or to receive new usernames and passwords. These sites can be accessed on IPADS and phones.
We have high expectations of all learners and we want them try their best at all times. Please ensure your child is completing their homework regularly and I'F you need any support accessing these sites then please contact me.
Reading-Please listen to your child read at least three times per week and question your child about what they are reading. (Characters/Setting/Plot) Reading books should be brought to school every day.
Weekly Spellings-Handed out on a Wednesday and due in on a Monday.
Your child will receive a weekly spelling list to be revised at home. Pupils must choose a task card to practise their spellings in their homework book.
Guided Reading-Sometimes, during the school holidays your child may receive a guided reading text with questions to be answered, based on the text.
(We can't emphasise the importance of pupils completing their homework at home. Please ensure all homework is neatly presented and completed to a high standard.)
P.E. is on Friday. Please make sure you wear suitable clothing, including trainers to school on this day. This term our focus is Multi Skills.
During morning play the children are allowed a healthy snack and a drink of water. So that children can have access to water throughout the day, please send in a water bottle filled with water only. All bottles must be returned home daily to be washed.
Please check your child's bag for letters or notes home. If you require an additional copy then please contact the school office.
ICT and the DCF
All pupils have their own personal log in's for Google and HWB. Pupils are accessing these sites in school through the curriculum and they have created their own pupil passports to support their learning at home. Having an individual e portfolio enables children to take pride and ownership of their learning through fun and engaging tasks, games and educational resources to support teaching and learning.
